Back In the Saddle Again
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 15, 2004
They say you canÂt go back home. Tyson Kirksey wasnÂt listening. A native Texan, Tyson just returned from four years at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where he graduated with honors earning a Bachelor of Science in Interactive Media. Kirksey joins Zunch Communications, Inc. as a systems analyst.
ÂWeÂre going to be giving Tyson a lot of grief, said John Sanchez, President and CEO of Zunch, ÂIn a fun way. HeÂs the youngster, the hotshot gunslinger coming out of college to kick some tail. ThereÂs plenty of kicking going on at Zunch of late, and so far, TysonÂs got a great poker face. I donÂt think the pressure really gets to him at all.Â
ÂHe canÂt be fazed, said KirkseyÂs officemate, recent Zunch hire Terrence Ou, ÂHe sits there and cranks out the work, quietly. Sometimes I have to make sure heÂs breathing. The guy is too cool.Â
Kirksey and Ou are part of a recent strengthening of the search engine optimization team at Zunch. Sanchez says that the acquisition of Kirksey is part of a strategy to become the number one SEO firm in the country. ÂWith talent like TysonÂs, Zunch canÂt help but reach that goal. We hired him for his broad and deep knowledge of SEO and web development. And heÂs a Texan. DonÂt mess with Texas, said Sanchez.
While in college, Kirksey amassed an impressive portfolio of work for clients that he personally cultivated and developed. ÂHereÂs a kid not even out of school, and heÂs basically already in business for himself, and making the honor roll all the while, said Sanchez, ÂThatÂs the kind of person an employer looks at seriously.Â
When pressed for the secret to his success, Kirksey, in characteristic Eastwood-style, squints and smiles, ÂIf I told you, it wouldnÂt be a secret, would it? The Houston native allows that his Little League career as a 2nd baseman helped to instill in him a team-oriented work ethic. ÂThe team here jokes that IÂm some cowboy gunfighter, said Kirksey, ÂBut those guys were loners. IÂm a team player all the way, but I take personal responsibility for my contribution to the team. IÂm my own worst critic, and that keeps me striving to better myself. And I think I just gave away part of my secret.Â
