CLACC Bangladesh – Rainwater Harvesting: An Adaptation Option in Bangladesh

Scarcity of safe drinking water is one of the major problems in saline prone coastal and drought affected north-western regions of Bangladesh. This problem will be aggravated further in future by the climate change impacts. Rainwater harvesting is one of the best adaptation option which is being practicing by local communities. This may reduced drinking related problem. This VIDEO highlights local problem of safe drinking water faced by communities, existing coping and the use of improved local technologies on rainwater harvesting. This also shows different stakeholders opinions particularly on the effectiveness of the adaptation option at present and future climate change condition.
