The First-ever progeria clinical drug trial
In May 2007 The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF) made history with the start of a first-ever clinical trial for children with Progeria, the fatal, rapid aging disease. 28 children from 16 countries travel to Childrens Hospital Boston every 4 months for 2 years, to test a drug that shows great promise to be an effective treatment. And just nine years ago there was nothing being done medically for these children! PRF is funding the trial, and as of July 2009 has raised .9 of the million needed. We hope this video inspires you to support our efforts to give these wonderful children the long and healthy lives they deserve. www.progeriaresearch.org In May 2007 The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF) made history with the start of a first-ever clinical trial for children with Progeria, the fatal, rapid aging disease. 28 children from 16 countries travel to Childrens Hospital Boston every 4 months for 2 years, to test a drug that shows great promise to be an effective treatment.
