City of Reno Nv Council Member Dave Aiazzi discusses Mass Rapid Transit, July 2009

On this Council Connections, Reno Council Member Dave Aiazzi, who chairs the Regional Transportation Board ( RTC) discusses the latest plans for mass rapid transit in Reno. The RTC is beginning a program to provide a mass rapid bus system down Virginia Street this fall. This is part of a long range City plan, which could eventually include street cars and light rail. The City Council is working to create Transit Oriented Districts where residents can live and travel to work and services without using a car.
