Revolution, Triple L Band to take stage for a cause
A band that is truly a family affair and a musical troupe comprised of students from the Abilene Independent School District soon will take the stage for a good cause. An Oct. 15 concert at the Paramount Theatre will feature The Triple L Band in a benefit for the Abilene Regional Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.

Piscataway man sentenced to 38 years for fatally beating mother with crowbar
ELIZABETH — A Piscataway man who earlier this year pleaded guilty to killing his own mother with a crowbar has been sentenced to 38 years in prison by Superior Court Judge Stuart Peim, with 85 percent of the sentence to be served before the possibility of parole.
