Sick inmates keep the county jail budget ill
Sick inmates are still coming to the Greene County Jail and taking a big chunk out of the operational budget. Greene County Sheriff Terry Pierce said the reasons can be traced in part to inmates who have abused drugs — particularly methamphetamine — and an older inmate population.
