Know any statistics about past abuse?

Question by ♪Tinkerbell♪: Know any statistics about past abuse?
I was wondering if anyone knew anything (statistics or experience, doesn’t matter) about how people may act when they grow up if they were abused as a child.
for example: a friend of mine was abused when he was a child until he was about 8 years old then he was (thankfully) taken from his home. I really really really like him and I just wonder if he may be more vulnerable to abusing his children. I don’t think he EVER would…ever. but I just want to know. So if you know anything please let me know.
