SALISBURY — A Virginia mother was convicted of second-degree murder after her 3-year-old son accidentally ingested methadone she bought from a drug dealer; a man in Delaware was sentenced to 20 years after pleading guilty to fatally beating another man in order to steal his methadone; and two young lives were cut unnecessarily short in Maryland after overdosing.
