What is the likelihood of relapse to someone once addicted to heroin—especially if he is using other drugs?

Question by primadonna: What is the likelihood of relapse to someone once addicted to heroin—especially if he is using other drugs?
We are divorced due to lack of trust. He swears he is clean (w/the exception of smoking pot and drinking frequently. He also lives with a girl he used to shoot dope with. I feel like I am being unfair nor letting him see our children—BUT their safety and well being is more important than his feelings. We were together for 10 years, have two girls and 17 treatment centers, years spent in and out of the clink, and months in halfway houses and and and —-oh and of course lying, stealing and cheating—I can’t trust him. HE swears that he is FINE and that I’m just being a —– because I am mad that he is with another woman. I am a bit jealous, not sure of what. I know there are a ton of recovering addicts that can set me straight on this.
