Question by hichnii: Could hair dye cause a false negative?
I’m a substance abuse counselor with a patient who tested positive for methamphetamine per urinalysis while testing negative per hair follicle. Her caseworker observed that she changes her hair color quite frequently. Could hair dye cause a false negative?

Oh i definitely think so…With all those chemicals and changing your hair every so often…Thats why they say to dye your hair at a minimum and too use the most natural product you can find…
