How do you beat depression?

Question by Lizzii: How do you beat depression?
My best friend is depressed and suicidal, he’s gone to two different rehab facilities and is still having “thoughts” hes looking to me for help and im clueless…but its starting to effect me as well. What can I do to help him before he hurts himself and possibly me?

For me? I cannot beat it. Unfortunately, however I take Antidepressants which make me emotionally numb, but they are far better than being depressed.
