Calling CPS Child Protective Services Question – Please Help!?

Question by Lifelight: Calling CPS Child Protective Services Question – Please Help!?
Us and four other houses have been dealing with some neighbors who have been causing all sorts of problems. They publicly fight in the street, cussing, shouting, etc. day and night. They’ve shouted in one of our neighbors faces and almost punched him when our neighbor politely asked them to take the fighting inside. They threw liquid junk that smells like puke (food, seed, garlic, etc.) all over our porch one night. They’ve verbally threatened to shoot our house with “45’s” and the list goes on and on. It all started when we called the cops one night because it was past noise ordinance curfew and they’ve started retaliating on all of us because of it. We’ve called the cops multiple times since and because we have no proof of anything, the cops can’t do very much.

Most recently one of the sons was screaming on top of the roof trying to get in the house in the middle of the night. He told his siblings that if they didn’t let him in that he was going to call the cops and tell them about all the crack and meth that they have inside the home. The guy ended up falling off his roof onto our neighbors drive-way and broke his ankle, the police came but nothing really happened.

We feel like prisoners having to constantly watch out for what these early 20 something kids will do next. However, their is a 1 1/2 year old and 2 year old including an eight grader that live in the home as well.

I told my husband that I was going to wait to see if these issues continued but the other day our neighbor smelled a meth smell coming from their garage.

If I were to call CPS on these people what would CPS do? Would they be able to search the home for drugs so that these kids can get out of this crazy environment?

I’ve waited a long time now thinking about this but now I’m thinking it’s time to call. Please help. Thanks!
