Question by Brandon K: rescue dog showing signs of past abuse?
I just got a wonderfully sweet lab mix a couple days ago and everything has been going well. dont know much about her past except that she lived outside her whole life( 2 yrs) and dumped off with pregnant mother and siblings. she is scared of every noise ( closing fridge and door) and is scared of me depsite soft tones but loves my wife. she rolls on back and urinates a lot if you call her, calmly. she is scared on walks and races back home. any tips to help alleviate her distress and make her more confident and happy?

The only i can say is it takes time. She will eventually become used to all the new sights and sounds.
