Why do people support Crack/Trap Music when it’s ruining hip hop and lives?
Question by XR: Why do people support Crack/Trap Music when it’s ruining hip hop and lives?
First off here’s a quick lesson. Trap means a place where drug deals are made. Snow is cocaine. A snowman, dope/dough boy, and hustler sells drugs. Drug dealers typically keep their wads of cash in rubber bands. A rubber band man has many of these money rolls from hustlin’.
Why would you support rappers that endorse drug dealing as a legitimate way to make money. Why can’t they spend their time talking about how to turn around places like Atlanta where crack is an epidemic?
There are albums out this year by great artists like The Roots, Jurassic 5, Cunninlynguists, J. Dilla (RIP), MF Doom, Kool Keith, Boot Camp Click, and many more, check out hiphopsite.com and okayplayer.com for more, but there is no buzz.
Instead people pad the pockets of TI and his Pimp Squad Click (sounds like a name you’d make up in junior high) and show their support. TI is talented, but he does not take this opportunity to help the people his past lifestyle hurts.
