After graduating school a few months ago, I moved in with my mom. About two years ago she and my dad got separated. She has since been dating this guy who has no job (she doesn’t either, they both live off of what my dad gives her). Most of the time they go into her room with the door closed doing god knows what. Sometimes the two of them sleep for a whole day and don’t get up, not even to feed that cats. Other times she can’t fall asleep until 3 or 4 in the morning and wake up at 6 AM. He will randomly leave the house at 1 or 2 AM and come back an hour later. This all seems really suspicious to me. Ive seen “diabetic” needles in her room as well as glass pipes that are usually broken and have black/grey soot in them. There are also a TON of very small baggies. One time when I confronted her, she said her bf is diabetic. (But this doesn’t make sense as he will douse his cereal in sugar ever morning.. a pound of sugar lasts about 4 or 5 days here…) So at this point, I dont know what to do. If I confronted her, she’d deny it. I just want to make sure that it is what I think it is. Oh, and if it at all helps, she’s an alcoholic and swears she doesn’t drink or do drugs (but there are a lot of beer bottles hanging around her very dirty room..)
PS. There is bearly any food here and she is constantly under financial pressure, but still refuses to get some sort of job. This has caused a lot of tension between the two of us. We never used to fight and now we can bearly talk to each other.
