Question by candigal: How can I find colleges in the NYC/CT area that offer a masters in counseling?
I’m looking to find a list(s) of colleges in the New York and connecticut that offer a masters program in mental heath or community counseling. I live in connecticut and I want to become an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). I want to work with people who have mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. I already have my bachelors in psychology plus an associate degree in drug and alcohol counseling. Now I’m looking to get my masters. I’m already set to take the certification test to become a certified drug counselor this year, but the people who have masters get more job opportunities, higher positions, and better pay.
