Question by kazie: withdrawl symptoms means addiction?
if a person is taking psych meds..and is stable…but ..(put in reason here) can’t get their meds…and starts to go into withdrawl…
would it be right in saying that they are addicted to the meds?…
i’m relating to someone who has other addictions…and going through withdrawl …

Depends on what the meds are. Something like xanax or another benzo, definitely. Very physically addicting medications even if the guy uses them for good reason. Something like an antidepressant? No, it’s not withdrawl at all. Something else? Relapse of symtoms indeed.
