Question by apollo313: pseudoephedrine hydrochloride?
I failed a drug test for meth-amphetamine. I don’t do drugs, so I was wondering if pseudoephedrine hydrochloride contained some type of ingredient to cause this. I took Sudafed 12 hour sinus relief.

I am not exactly sure about Meth but I do know a fun fact eating anything with poppy seads (even a bagel) can set off a heroine or opium test. Mythbusters tried it. So it is quite possible. If you want to be extra sure try fasting through the night and taking the test again hopefully that will (although I am not positive) clear out any possible triggers in your system.

And I have heard that some medical drugs (like sudafed) can set off drug tests as most tests are either a yes there are drugs or no there are no drugs there is not like a scale like there is with alcohol.
