This is by way of followup to my question about why Republicans lie so much. I owe some of you a partial apology. It’s apparent that many of you aren’t lying, you’re just being lied to, and are confused. For example, here’s what one poster had to say about Obama’s admitted youthful experiements with drugs:

“Obama, himself, admitted to doing crack when he was younger.

“Obama wrote about his teenage drug use in his memoir, “Dreams from My Father.” His rivals have largely remained silent on the subject.

” ‘Junkie. Pothead. That’s where I’d been headed: the final fatal role of the young would-be black man, Obama wrote. Mostly he smoked marijuana and drank alcohol, he wrote, but occasionally he would snort cocaine when he could afford it.’

“So, before you ask why Republicans lie, you should research the answer first.”

The person who wrote this (I won’t say who, not interested in singling anyone out) obviously doesn’t understand what crack is, tthat it’s smoked rather than snorted, and an infinitely more dangerous drug than the powdered cocaine that Obama would have tried.

Numerous other posts contained similar errors and claims, including the likes of crack had been invented in 1974 or Obama would have smoked it in the early 80’s (it was around, but the drug use to which Obama refers occurred when he was a teenager).

Finally, lost of claims that Dems lie (or unwittingly repeat lies or misinformation) as much as Republicans, but if so, I sure don’t see it here. Muslim, crack smoker, socialist, Communist, not born here, terrorist — where is the truth in any of these claims, or the numerous others that have come down the line?

Without a doubt, I believe that you know all the intricacies of smoking crack. If nothing else, this incoherent rant proved that much.
