Question by No Care Ever™: Is it illegal to use a still image from a movie as an album cover?
I am in a band and we are finishing our first album and we cant think of an album cover. we found a still image from a movie that we want to use, but we arent sure if it is illegal or not. Is this illegal?

Yes. Movies are protected under copyright. You could change the image, creating your own artwork (add some effects, changing the main essence of it). Or, you could try asking for permission to use it.
