There are signs a recovery is reaching Black Mountain’s tourism sector. Numbers from the Black Mountain-Swannanoa Chamber of Commerce show visits and interest are up.

A car accident in Hollywood on June 20 left Luba Pinchuk, 19, a graduate of Valley Torah High School who recently returned from a year in seminary in Israel, in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
