Question by Concerned Girlfriend in Texas: Subatex/Suboxone Withdrawal…My boyfriend’s pain med Doc is out of the office until January 8.?
He ran out of Subatex/Suboxone last week and has had pretty serious flu-like sypmtoms since he ran out Christmas Day.
Visited another Doc in Austin who gave him a few Lortab and some lame lidocaine patches for his fused back (from a motorcycle accident 25 years ago). He’s really sick. Any suggestions for home remedies? I found these :
soak in a hot tub, take Midol, lots of water and gatorade, pot and whiskey.
What about Valium or Xanax? Seems logical.
We’re almost ready for a trip to the E.R.
Other suggestions?
is there a withdrawal clinic open 24/7 in Austin?

A trip to the ER is the best bet here. Hopefully you will be seen by someone compassionate and helpful. Drug withdrawal is not something that can be done at home safely if very strong pain meds have been used for a long time. Good luck to you!
