What do you do when someone goes missing?

My sister left home on Sunday 11/2 and has not returned. We’ve filed a missing persons report with the police and they basically took our information and wished us luck in finding her. She’s 28 so she is an adult but it is not like her to just disappear like this. We’ve called all her friends and no one has seen her. Her cell phone is now going straight to voicemail. We are worried to death about her.

She is in recovery from an addition to crystal meth. She has been going to meetings and staying clean. Someone called for her on Monday to check on her and see if she was ok because something my sister said in the meeting alarmed them and caused a great deal of concern but, even thought his person knows my sister is missing, she claims that she can’t tell us what my sister said.

What do we do now? We don’t have money to hire a private investigator but it seems like nothing else is going to be done to find her.
We have accessed her cell phone bill and have called all of the numbers. No one has seen or heard from her since Sunday. The battery on the phone must be dead now because it’s going straight to voicemail.
