Known this guy for over 20 years, and other friends who have confronted him about this have been ostrasized. None of his/our old friends see him anymore. I gently broached the subject of his health the last time I saw him, and he immediately got very defensive, so I backed off to consider what the best course of action was. The only reason he allows me into his life now is because I am the only person who has not come at him about this, though I’m thinking that maybe I should though he may never talk to me again. Like I said, I’ve known this guy for a long time. He’s like a brother to me.

Serious answers please. No kids, and no meaningless platitudes about what’s right and wrong.
