Question by aceproceed: Why is past Marijuana use considered such a newsworthy issue for players?
I’m reading an article and it’s considered a big deal apparantly that three of the NFL’s top prospects have used Marijuana before.

Why is this something to be concerned about? The news and some people seem to be so surprised by this as if the use of marijuana in someone’s youth is something so unbelievable and terrible.

Doesn’t anyone else find it so silly that all this effort is devoted to amazement that these people have done something which is certainly by no means uncommon. Is there still this idea that professional athletes are superhuman characters without any vices?
