What are the long term effects of hydrocodone, xanax, and methamphetamines on the brain?
Question by David: What are the long term effects of hydrocodone, xanax, and methamphetamines on the brain?
I’m proud to say I have overcome a huge addiction on my own and have been clean for 2 years and going back to school in Feb. On the down side though, certain things such as my memory seems a little worse. Now I have the tendency to over think everything and mess up things that should be simple. Most of the time I have this big lack of confidence with spurts of huge confidence in which beforehand, I had better concentration and self esteem. Also just seems my overall thought process isn’t like it used to be. Could this be a result of the chemical cocktails, or just something that occurs with age? Is this common in former addicts?

First off i would like to say congratulations. Ive heard that it damages the brain and ive heard cases of schizophrenia from methamphetamines. Good luck with schooling and life.
