Why is it so hard to live life after an addiction to crystal meth? can you really have life after that?

i am 19 years old and i had a addition for 3 years now i finally quit on my own and im in college. I have a job but its really hard i think that im going to fail in life. i notice eveything gotten a lot better but still.
