What can i do to stop my cats freakin strange addiction?

My cat Missy has a serious addiction to cheese and not just any cheese its only string cheese. She begs for it like our dogs, in fact im pretty sure shes worse. if someone opens the wrapper on one she comes flying from were ever shes been and starts meowing and getting in ur face then she gets mad at the dogs. its freaking chaos! We’ve been ignoring her for weeks now and nothings changed. Please help me

BTW i dont know who started feeding her cheese or if anyone actually did
