Is it possible to recover my windows xp with Windows Media Center Recovery Disk.?

My compaq has Windows Xp which I upgraded from Windows ME. My cousins have the Windows Media Center Recovery Disks that can be used with Hp desktop or Compaq Desktops. Please let me know I need it really bad. God Bless 🙂
