One of Ted Megenheim’s first ventures in salesmanship was a short lived franchise of rehabilitation centers in southern Maine… sources indicate that at least three were operational for a few weeks before a wave of scandal involving ether abuse hit the local newspapers and all colors of hell broke loose. Gunther claimed to have the “inside dope” on the Megenheim “ploy,” but court documents suggest he clammed up fearing reprisals.
