Cocaine for Weight Loss – What Can It Do To You?
Sure cocaine will curb your desire to eat while you are on the high. After the high what happens? Usually the emptiness and loss of motivation causes you to eat in excess.
There are several dangers of using cocaine for weight loss. There are both short term dangers and also long term dangers associated with using cocaine. One of the most obvious misconceptions about using cocaine for weight loss is that your appetite is curbed thus causing weight loss. Yes it is curbed while you are high, but when you come down from that high then usually you will be depressed and go on an eating binge, offsetting and overriding any wight loss gained.
When doing cocaine you will feel the “rush” which is a constriction of blood vessels, along with blood pressure spikes and an increase of heart rate. The constriction of blood vessels causes a lack of oxygen in the body. The lack of oxygen will lead to blood clots in the intestines, brain and heart, and these will lead to irregular heart rhythm, heart attacks and strokes. The increased blood pressure can also cause cerebral hemorrhaging and the destruction of blood cells.
While you are on the cocaine high, your body works against itself. If you are exercising to increase or speed up the weight loss, then you are doubling the chance of heart attack or stroke.
If you are using cocaine, you are not only burning fat, you are burning brain cells. Whatever you learn while high, will not usually be retained in memory. As the body looses its desire for food, it also looses its desire for hydration. This is why you see many users with digestive problems and dehydration, along with bouts of diarrhea and also liver and kidney problems.
One major long term affect of using cocaine for any purpose is the risk of addiction. Because cocaine works on the brain, it is one of quick addiction. Many start using cocaine with good intentions such as weight loss, to stay alert or to be more creative. But then soon learn that they have become dependent on it to function.
As soon as a person becomes aware of their dependence, is the opportune time to take immediate steps to get relief from their cocaine habit.
