I have to drug detox! REALLY scared. Anyone done this before?

Hey,
I am being forced to go to Hospital to detox for my codeine addiction! I’m so pis**d off because I’m scared of Hospitals. Has anyone done this before? What happens, does it really work? Please help, I’m having second thoughts. I may even sneak out at some stage!
