Can a child around meth have side effects?

One of my close friends is addicted to meth. She smokes it in the house with the child (smokes it– no cooking). Her child never has much of an appetite. I know that one of the effects of meth is no appetite. Could this be affecting her child. I’ve tried talking to her several times about this, but of course “she doesnt have a problem”.
