In order of severity: Shortness of breath, forgetfulness, teeth-grinding, short uncontrollable temper, suicidal ideation, tunnel-vision, stuck with food in mouth unable to swallow, being “stranded” unable to get out of a telephone booth, trying to ‘pull my lip over my head’, ‘cosmetic’ cutting.
‘Buspar’ helps. Positive imaging helps. Remembering to breathe helps. Strong physical exercise helps, or even screaming into a pillow. 12-step meetings used to help, but they’re more and more overrun with control-freaks. Stay way from the SSRI “anti-depressants” if you can, and the therapists who instantly suggest them. And of course alcohol “self-treatment”, ‘recreation’ and addictive pain-killer type drugs, benzos, and hypnotic sleep-inducers such as Halcyon.

I have panic disorder. I have experienced many sleepless nights, nausea, lack of appetite, headaches, neck pain, back pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, feeling like there is something stuck in my throat, fast heart rate, sweaty clammy palms, phobia of going outside anywhere other than the ER, serious clumsiness because I was having a lot of accidents, withdrawal from the anti-anxiety medications (don’t go off of them cold turkey), feeling like I was going to die all of the time, and there probably is more that I am missing, but you can overcome it. Mine is slowly getting better. Lately I have totally been able to function normally without panic attacks. Even though it is scary to do stuff while you’re having this problem, get out and do it and you will feel much much better, I promise. I understand because before I had this disorder, I was the most carefree fun person you will ever meet and it turned me into this person who was scared of my own shadow, but I told myself I would not let it change me and take over my life, so I went out like I did before and if I had panic attacks while I was out, I just told myself, this is just a passing sensation it means nothing, or if it got really bad I would excuse myself to the bathroom and talk myself down, and now my life is back to normal and I am carefree. I still worry and have panic attacks and sometimes I have panic attacks for no reason, but I go out and live my life and enjoy it and that is what is most important. What helped me the most was God. I told myself that I just have to put my faith in him and everything would be alright. You can overcome this and one day you will and it will get better.
Good luck! God Bless!
Also, I saw the other person’s answer. Do NOT drink alcohol if you are on benzos or any type of antidepressant or anti anxiety medication because that can be a deadly combination, but if you are NOT taking any kind of medication, a glass of wine or beer or even a shot of whiskey helps, I think, if you are NOT taking ANY medication. Also, taking a bubble bath, reading, doing a puzzle, coloring in a coloring book, working out, getting a massage, giving yourself a massage with one of those back massager thingys, meditating, yoga, dancing, painting or anything to really distract yourself is helpful
