Is it bad that I choose to overdose on Adderall once a week?

Question by Fred: Is it bad that I choose to overdose on Adderall once a week?
For the last two weekends, I have chosen to pop between 50mg and 70mg of Adderall on Saturday night to enjoy the amazing euphoric sensation that this drug is able to give me when I go above 50mg. Since I know I am taking a huge risk by going above 50mg, I do not take Adderall during the week (even though I am required to take 50mg a day). Is it bad that I choose to take over 50mg of Adderall once a week for a speed trip and to get all my work finished in one night? I mean, I love the euphoria and focus that this drug provides me with, but I know I can’t be constantly overdosing on Adderall for the dangers it poses (I am 160 pounds and 5’11 btw) to my body and the fact that I’ll lose the high if I constantly take it. I want to pop another 70mg next Saturday, but I know I should probably stop. Thoughts?

yeah, its bad. I’m a recovering addict and i’m telling you now that you are starting down a path you don’t want to really go down. I used to take my prescription xanax the same way you are taking your adderall. Instead of taking it every day, it’d take a bunch of it at a time to get high. You’re not “overdosing” yourself-your getting high, which is not what your medication is for. You might as well do meth or another illegal drug because you’re not taking it for any real medical purpose. The longer you do this for, the more often your going to want to take it and before you know it your life could be a total disaster, even though it seems like casual and innocent fun in the beginning. It seems like you know what your doing isn’t right so listen to your own advice. either take it as needed or get rid of it because it’s going to end up messing up your life in the long run.
