How to convince my parents to smoke outside?
Question by Lola: How to convince my parents to smoke outside?
I’ve been trying for years to get them to stop smoking but that hasn’t worked. My sister has even walked out before. So I’m trying to act least get them to smoke outside. I know it’s their house but I thought they cared about my health too and I don’t seem to have a choice being around it. My nan is noticing it and I dread to think what I smell like when I see my friends. How do I go about asking them? One is my step dad and he’s really annoying and rude so… Any help! Thanks x

Do some research on the problem itself, & those associated with it.
Find out what the laws are in your area regarding smoking in homes where children are living.
Ask your parents to read a few of the pertinent articles, and if they make no changes & it is illegal where you reside, you can report them.

“Researchers found that a smoking ban in bars, restaurants and other indoor businesses in Helena, Mont[ana], was associated with a nearly 60% drop in hospital admissions for heart attacks in the six months that it was in effect,” reports The Wall Street Journal. After a local court overturned the smoking ban, the rate of heart attacks returned to previous levels. “This is a strong piece of evidence of the need to avoid the dangers of secondhand smoke,” said cardiologist Sidney Smith. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/102004571?q=dangers+secondhand+smoke&p=par
