I have a loved one ready to get help with his addiction.?

Question by Chet: I have a loved one ready to get help with his addiction.?
I am located in the North East and need advice on an interventionist, a drug rehab and alcohol treatment center. I am not sure where to start. Any help on treating someone with an addiction problem would be appreciated. Thanks!
I should add that I am in the North East US. In Mass.
I have found the help I need. It took me a minute… The phone number listed below was posted incorrectly. I found them at 800-762-5433. And you were right. They were wonderful. Everything is set up. My SO will be entering treatment some time next week. Thank you!!!

Well, the most important thing is that your loved one goes first to a clinic that offers medical detox – alcohol is probably the worst substance to detox from, so this person needs to be medically monitored while going through the withdrawal.

After detox, this person will probably need an in-patient treatment program or at least will need to do outpatient and sober living.

You said you live in the North East – here is just 1 place that I know of that has a great medical detox. http://www.stoningtoninstitute.com

You can try googling “medical detox” and your state. You can probably get a list of places to call that way.

Good luck to you & your loved one!!!
