Medical Marijuana: Which hybrid strains are ideal for my situation?
Question by Davide: Medical Marijuana: Which hybrid strains are ideal for my situation?
I suppose a bit of background information on my experience with MMJ wouldn’t hurt. I am an 18 year-old MMJ patient in California living with Aspergers Syndrome, depression, and anxiety. As I have only been an official MMJ patient for the past month, qualified on the basis of my severe anxiety and depression, I’m rather new to this medication. However, I have found it extremely beneficial to me as it is far more affordable, far more effective, and far less toxic than other medications that I’ve taken such as Prozac, Cymbalta, and Remeron, the last of which poisoned me as it turned out I was violently allergic to tetracyclines. Since I began using MMJ, my social life and academic life have both benefited greatly from my increased ability to communicate appropriately with my peers and professors without the unbearable fear of offending or confusing them and embarrassing myself. As a Bay Area resident, the environment I live in is very MMJ friendly so I don’t have to worry about stigmatization for using my medicine.
Now, on to the main part of this question! I’d like to know which hybrid strains would be ideal for treating my anxiety, which is exacerbated by my intense obsessions with inconsistencies and mistakes and perpetuated by my depression, and my flawed sense of empathy, which causes me to say strange or inappropriate things in conversations without meaning to. I have found that Indica-dominant strains alleviate most of my anxiety and depression while Sativa-dominant strains cause me to become more aware of potentially rude, offensive, or non-sensible things I may unintentionally say, which is a common problem with Aspergers Syndrome. So, my question to you all is, which hybrid strains of cannabis do you think would have potent enough Indica and Sativa properties to treat my depression, anxiety, and social awkwardness? I would prefer strains that are 50/50, but anything close is also perfectly ideal.
I should also mention that I am not interested in any ridiculous, anti-pot, nonsense answers. If your knowledge on cannabis is restricted to anti-drug propaganda and I should expect something tantamount to “OMG Marijauna is a drug and drugs kill your brain!!!” or “NO! It’s a gateway drug and you’ll end up doing meth or heroin!!!” then I don’t want to hear it; marijuana doesn’t cause brain damage and it can’t be a gateway drug in a setting where hard narcotics aren’t available to a responsible patient. I don’t want to hear nonsense about an increased risk of lung cancer, irrelevant anyway since I vaporize my medication as opposed to smoking it, and I definitely don’t want a story about how you, a friend, or family member were irresponsible and got psychologically addicted to something that’s no more addictive than a good video game. If any of these unwanted criteria apply to your potential answer then please don’t waste my time.

OMG marijuana is a drug, and drugs kill your brain! lol nah man your in the wrong place for this though. Go to a drug forum. Just google marijuana forum. People on here are most likely uneducated on the topic. Though I don’t want to be the downer guy but it may just be because I smoked way too much but depression will get drowned out and you’ll be happy when your high but when you don’t have any weed, your just more depressed.
Marijuana like meth? – Local cop talks about the effects of weed an how it’s changed over the years.
