Question by i know nothing: anyone have any success stopping drinking WITHOUT AA?
Have tried AA. Don’t feel it is right for me. “They” say it is next to impossible to stop without program. I feel that becomes a self fullfilling prophecy? Anyone agree? Anyone learn to control on own?

I agree with you on that. Some people need to have the moral support, while others don’t require that. I used to be a pretty heavy drinker due to the job that I had. Once I quit working in a bar, I stopped drinking every day. I very seldom drink at all now.
