How common is drug ADDICTION amongst teenagers?

Question by When Will This Recession End: How common is drug ADDICTION amongst teenagers?
How do you tell the difference between a teen who uses marijuana recreationally versus one who is chemically addicted? Drug use is so rampant amongst teens now and weed, as I understand it, is more potent than it ever has been before. How do you go about getting help for a teenager who is addicted to pot, what is involved in that rehabilitation?

10 points for the answer with the most information, thanks.

There’s no such thing as an addiction to marijuana. It just doesn’t happen, and even if it did, the only problem it’s causing is a waste of money. Marijuana is not harmful to your health, and it definitely is not addictive.
Oh, and if you’re going to say that it causes cancer. Well, yesterday I read an article in the newspaper about how shampoo and make-up cause cancer. What doesn’t cause cancer these days?

Weed is not physically addictive.

It is also far less harmful than alcohol (alcohol is physically addictive, and has been proven to cause much worse damage to your health, and causes worse problems socially than weed.)

Pot smokers don’t go out starting fights or causing trouble. Drunk kids do.
