I have a bf who is struggling with addiction but i suspect he’s sleeping with numerous women, he lies cheats and steals. i just want to know if meth addicts have remorse at alll

if you know for a fact that he is a meth addict then most likely no, they usually have no remorse and it is due to the effects of the substance on the brain. remorse is likely triggered by a neurotransmitter, like most emotions, and meth abuse can destory these neurotransmitter receptors by overloading them, therefore making the person incapable of feeling anything but the drug

My mother is one. She abused me when I was a little girl, told me it was all my fault. I know have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from what she put me through. In my opinion, meth addicts or any addicts are selfish and only do what’s best for themselves. I’ve been living with my dad since I got taken away from my mum and I just found out the whole time he’s been an addict too, and that’s why he’s never had money. That’s just my opnion.
