Do you believe marijuana is bad, and whether it should be legal?

Question by Liam: Do you believe marijuana is bad, and whether it should be legal?
Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with it. The only thing that can make its use “suggestive”, is that it’s illegal. The reasons for its legal status are not very noteworthy, either. Companies from the early 1900’s knew that hemp was going to bankrupt them all, because of all of its uses. Thus, those companies made things such as Reefer Madness to scare the public into thinking marijuana is immoral and should be illegal. The government should see now that studies are and have been conducted, and pointing towards the idea that marijuana is not bad, and even has many varying health benefits. If marijuana were legalized, law enforcement could stop worrying about the use of marijuana, and crack down on the use of harder drugs with horrible addictions, and harmful effects, such as meth. Anyways, that is how I view the cannabis plant. I believe it should be legal, and is a gift from nature. However, I do respect the opinion of others, and if you think that marijuana is not your thing, or something of that sort, then that is fine. But please do not go around telling people it destroys your brain, and ruins your life, and kills you. That is just not true. I do not wish for a fight here, just looking for others views on this subject.

Peace

weed is about as addicting as a cup of coffee, and has shown through popular culture to improve creativity and promote a positive mindset. George Washington and Martha even used hemp. if weed could be regulated like alcohol and people would be satisfied with just weed and no other drugs then society would improve. it’s here for a reason.
