I just found out my house used to be a meth lab!? Someone please help!?

Question by Kat:): I just found out my house used to be a meth lab!? Someone please help!?
I was told by a neighbor who lives across the way that the lady who lived in my apartment before me had a meth lab. I really started to freak out. So the next day I called the owner of the apartments and asked her about it. Her response was “Who told you that!? I need to know!?” I told her I didnt want to give out names and she responded with ” Well yes there was a drug bust but thats all your need to know and it was cleaned up.” She hung up. And that was that.

So then a few weeks went by and I started getting sick. I kept having problems with my ovaries. (I am 19 years old, I have NEVER had problems with my ovaries before.) I went to the doctor and turns out I got an ovarian cyst that was growing rapidly, and my ovary tilted. Then, my husband and I started getting these terrible colds. He is in the Army, and it was affecting his physical performance. This was causing a problem. I started to do research about what meth chemicals can do and it said that they can mess with reproductive organs and sinuses, among other things. And our apartment has this funny smell, a lemon, sweet like smell.
The other day I got a letter in the mail with the girls name on it who lived here previously. I googled her name, and sure enough, on July 27 2011 she was arrested for manufacturing meth. My husband and I moved in September 1st, 2011.
What should we do? Should we take legal action? Is there any thing else I should be aware of that these chemicals can do!? I dont know if I should call the cops and ask for records or what. The who owns my apartment will NOT cooperate at ALL. Also, could she get in trouble for not telling me this went on before I moved in?
**And on my carpet there are these wierd pink stains that Im assuming are from bleach. I dont know if they have anything to do with meth but I thought I would say something about it.
The air is always dingy and “thick ” if you want to call it. We have friend in the same apartment complex and the air in mine is just…different
@ Chuck Norris, yes 19 and married, and I didnt ask for your comments on that 😉

You can most definitely take legal action if you have all of your medical records from seeing a doctor for the cyst on your ovary. Technically, they are supposed to tell you stuff like that upon moving in and if they didn’t and it’s affecting your health, you definitely can and should pursue legal action. I’m really sorry that you’re going through all of that. I hope everything gets better for you. (:
