Question by candigal: What is this fake beef made of?
I work at a group home for people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The food is made by the people in the halfway house upstairs. I don’t know what those hamburgers they serve are made of, but it is NOT beef! They give enough food for the staff and the clients to eat, so one day I tried the hamburger. It tasted like cardboard! Worst than school lunch! They make McDonalds look like filet mignon. I wouldn’t feed that to a dog! The clients complain all the time about the food. I bring my dinner to work now. What could those hamburgers be made of? I know they were on drugs but no one deserves to eat this crap!

It could be corned beef.
