How the last ten years of drug/alcohol abuse affected my brain?

Question by Queens: How the last ten years of drug/alcohol abuse affected my brain?
I started doing drugs at 18. The first 5 years I abused heavily: Alcohol, weed, ECSTACY, cocaine, hallucinogens on occasion, special K and meth on occasion. I abused Ecstacy the most during the first 5 years. I took between 2-10 pills every time I did it.. and I would use about 3 times a week. By about age 23 I quit mostly everything except alcohol and weed for a year, and then began abusing heroin until a year and a half ago. I am now almost 28 and I am clean and have only engaged in light to moderate drinking on occasion and smoked a little pot from time to time.. Does anyone know based on the info I have given what kind of long term challenges neurologically I will face as a result? And how or if I can overcome the damage…
