You can work as a staff member in a rehabilitation facility. I think counseling is a great one though. It can be a very versatile field. You could work with adults on probation or parole, or just adults who voluntarily submit themselves into a couseling clinic. Or you can even work with juviniles. Younger kids can be easier to deal with verses adults. Due to an adult has probably been using for a great amount of time and it would be harder for him/her to listen to you or believe what you have to say. Whereas juviniles sometimes only begin to abuse because they are lost and confused and are calling out for help. A lot of times they are more cooperative and listen better. I think you should rethink the couseling. Because you could do it in order to try and help an individual. It’ll give you a great deal of satisfaction when you touch someone, but it can also give you a great deal of disappointment when you can’t. You get to see and feel with someone on a more one to one basis, it will really bring the career to life for you. And believe it or not, you’ll never have to worry about not having something new everyday. Each person is different, each person’s addiction is different, and each person’s response to their addiction is different. Good for you to try and better our world! Two thumbs up!
