Question by Justin S: cold-like symptoms since I quit using?
I have been using cocaine recreationally for around 7 years, I am just closing in on 30 days clean but I have had a real congestion problem with my nose the past few weeks, & a pretty bad cough and sinus problems. does this have anything to do with me quitting or is it just a coinsidence & i just happen to have a regular cold? thanks

You might have some problems for quite a while, especially if you were inhaling the cocaine. Your body is probably trying to heal itself, and your immune system is weak. It will be an uphill battle for you, but it is worth it. To stay clean, I suggest eliminating all of your drug “friends,” and not drinking alcohol. Stay away from bars and bad influences, the cravings only last a short time, and if you stay active and remember the worst experience you had with drugs, you can stay away from them.
