Depression triggers my marijuana smoking addiction?

Question by carnifex: Depression triggers my marijuana smoking addiction?
I am 16 years old and I smoke weed up to 3 times a day the most. I think I smoke so much because I am usually home alone every day and I have no friends to hang out with. I have one friend but she is always busy doing other things. I smoke because I feel so happy and I forget about feeling lonely when I’m high. I wish I could stop but getting weed in my town is extremely easy and the more days that pass, the more I feel lonely, and the more I feel depressed. Can anyone help me cope with this? I literally have NOBODY to talk to! The only people that I have in my life is my mom and she’s at work ALL THE TIME! That’s why it’s so tempting all the time for me to smoke!

Smoking drugs is NEVER a good way to become happy. Do you go to church? If not there is a thing called Youth Group. It’s a group of teenagers who do activities together. But most importantly you must stop the marijuana. It can get you with a bad crowd and name. The church will accept you. I’d look for a Church of Christ.
