Deer Valley Counseling Offers Help in Troubled Times to East Valley Residents
Mesa, AZ (PRWEB) August 12, 2010
Even in the best of times, the stress of modern society results in marriage problems, anger, addiction, depression and anxiety. The difficult economy makes the stress doubly challenging. Opening August 13, Deer Valley Counseling’s Mesa office will provide a range of quality services including marriage counseling, anger management, grief recovery and counseling for depression, anxiety and addiction.
“When one or both spouses is laid off, or worries about being laid off, it causes stress in the marriage,” said Sandra Nettles, Deer Valley Counseling Clinical Director (http://deerval.com/People/SandraNettles.htm). “The stress can come out many different ways – as rage toward family, friends or co-workers; as addiction; or as depression or anxiety.”
The Deer Valley Counseling approach is direct and solution-focused. “We are not the kind of therapists that just sit there and nod once in a while,” said Sandra. “We will listen and then offer suggestions. We will teach you skills to make your life better. Our approach is tailored to your needs. We use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, family systems and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).”
The new Mesa office is staffed by three fully licensed counselors – Sandra Nettles, Terry Galler (http://deerval.com/People/TerryGaller.htm) and Kathy Sexton (http://deerval.com/People/KathySexton.htm). All three work with clients on marriage counseling, depression, anxiety, grief recovery, alcoholism and drug addiction. Sandra also works with clients on other addictions and clients with gender issues. Terry adds child therapy to her list of specialties. Chantilly, the Deer Valley Counseling therapy cat, will also visit the Mesa office on occasion.
The new Mesa office is centrally located in the East Valley, just off of Highway 60 and Loop 101 at 1819 S Dobson Rd, Suite 105, Mesa AZ 85202. The new Mesa location replaces a smaller, temporary Mesa office which was used during the search for a permanent East Valley location. Deer Valley Counseling also has offices in Phoenix and Scottsdale.
“Opening an office in Mesa was the next logical step for Deer Valley Counseling. We often receive calls from people wanting to know if we have an office in the East Valley. The location we chose makes it easy for clients to come in from all parts of the East Valley – Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Ahwatukee and Queen Creek,” said Sandra.
With offices in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa, Deer Valley Counseling provides a wide range of counseling services including marriage counseling, parenting, anger management, treatment for depression, anxiety, grief, alcoholism, drug addiction and gender issues.
