Question by Awsome: Can I use a debit/credit card?
I am 14 years old and live in Pennsylvania In the united states. I have a debit card linked to a checking account. The debit card and the checking account is registered to my dad because I don’t think I can have one registered to my name.

Suppose I want to buy something using “my” debit card and my dad knows I have it and allows me to purchase things. Can I buy something in a store using that debit card just like I would using cash? Or is that illegal? If it is illegal can I change the name of the debit card and checking account to me? Or is that illegal as well? Please help and explain. Thanks!

It depends on the store. They have every right to refuse a customer. To avoid trouble, go to the ATM and withdraw enough money to cover your purchase.
